GOUVERNEUR RESCUE
ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
Inter-Facility Ambulance Transportation
Most people are not aware that not all ambulance transports call for the use of emergency lights and sirens. Most of our patients require ambulance transportation on a non-emergency basis for medically necessary, predetermined transports between hospitals and other health care facilities. The most frequent hospitals and facilities we transport out of include Gouverneur Hospital, Canton-Potsdam Hospital and Clifton-Fine Hospital. Recently, there has been an increased demand for emergency and non emergency transports and the following options we provide allow Gouverneur Rescue to meet the demand.
Basic Life Support Transport - For Patients requiring continuous medical supervision or monitoring
Advanced Life Support Transport - For Patients requiring medication administration or cardiac monitoring
Specialty Care Transportation - For Patients requiring specialty medications, blood administration or mechanical ventilation during transport as well as specialty monitoring capabilities
